Implementation Strategy: The Three Operational Pillars of Continuous OEE
Continuous-flow OEE is calculated by multiplying three core operational vectors: Availability, Performance, and Quality:
- Availability: Measures actual running time against scheduled production time, tracking losses from maintenance shutdowns or power failures.
- Performance: Tracks actual fluid throughput against the facility’s maximum designed nameplate capacity.
- Quality: Measures the volume of on-spec product produced against the total volume processed, tracking losses from out-of-spec chemical batches that require reprocessing.
